Well, what do we have with the New Jersey sports betting numbers for November? Another record?
Actually, it is a split decision.
As we head into the thick of the holiday season next week, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) posted its monthly numbers on Thursday.
Here are three takeaways from the New Jersey sports betting report:
Just Short on Handle, but a New Revenue Mark
New Jersey sports betting posted a huge November handle, but the $1.26 billion falls just short of the $1.3 billion in October, the national record.
The first time the 10-figure threshhold was broken was the September figure of $1.01 billion.
On the revenue side, the Garden State was very thankful.
Sportsbooks generated $114.8 million in sports betting revenue, becoming the first state to ever generate more than $100 million in operator revenue in an individual month.
That number more than doubled from a year ago, jumping from $50.6 million (up 127.1%). November 2021 was up 36.4% from October ($84.1 million).

Any other sport (5.3%), baseball (4.2%), football (4.1%) and basketball (3.4%) are the other win percentage numbers to date.

November Slower Otherwise
With the long holiday season starting with Thanksgiving, bettors tended to keep their money close to the vest with gift-buying in full force.
Four out of the five categories reported by the NJDGE went down from October, including total sports betting handle, mobile sports betting handle, total gaming revenue and internet gaming win.
Mobile represented 90.9% share of the sports betting market in November.
