With the Memorial Day Holiday weekend fast approaching, many Atlantic City casinos will be debuting new additions and upgrades throughout their properties.
Ocean Casino Resort announced Monday that it will debut its offerings and additions at the start of June and July, with more than $85 million invested in property development and enhancements for New Jersey betting patrons.
Highlights will include the completion of more than 460 hotel rooms and suites, the debut of The Gallery Bar Book & Games, and many new food and beverage options.
“Ocean is committed to providing the best guest experience in Atlantic City,” said Bill Callahan, general manager for Ocean Casino Resort, in a news release. “Between our new hotel product, the addition of The Gallery Bar, Book & Games, and various new food and beverage outlets, there will be more reasons than ever to come to Ocean this summer.”
Last week, the casino also debuted its new and enhanced website, TheOceanAC.com.
Coming June 1 and July 1
On June 1, Serendipity3, a famous New York City landmark and home of the much-acclaimed Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, will be making its AC debut and will be located across from Ocean’s Villain & Saint and The District.
On July 1, Ocean will trot out new, 463-square-foot Contemporary Blu rooms, which have been inspired from the shoreline, featuring beach-inspired flooring and wallcoverings, marble flooring in the bathrooms, along with over-sized showers and double vanities.
Newly-built Social Suites will offer amenities such as a wet bar, dining area and lounge seating to host small gatherings. It also will include a large sofa and a free-standing soaking tub.
Gallery Bar Book & Games
The Gallery Bar Book & Games, a $5.2 million addition, will be located in the center of the casino floor. It has a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge, blackjack and roulette tables and video poker, in addition to 140 feet of LED walls.
The new sports betting area was mentioned by Ocean back in January.
Its 17-foot open-air staircase will connect to the Balcony Bar — which offers a VIP book for sports betting at its mezzanine bar and lounge.
Also worth mentioning among the new features at Ocean: an expansion of its Asian restaurant, Zhen Ban, with 60 additional seats and close to 1,000 square feet of extra dining space; new retail stores such as Sole Mates (opens Memorial Day Weekend), Starbucks and Bottled-Wine Spirits & Tastings. Also, for the summer, new bike rentals will be offered outside at Ocean's Porte Cochere.
