NJ Sportsbooks are Gearing Up for Return of March Madness
By Lou Monaco

With Gov. Phil Murphy increasing capacity to 50% at casinos, bars and restaurants in New Jersey beginning March 19 and the second day of the men's NCAA Basketball Tournament arriving that afternoon, Atlantic City casinos are ready to welcome college basketball fans and bettors with open arms.

With the new capacity limits and March Madness about to begin, a new survey offered even more positive news for the casinos and sportsbooks. The survey by the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism at Stockton University in Galloway, released this week, showed that more than 70% percent of the respondents plan to visit Atlantic City within the next six months.

The 2020 NCAA Tournament was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Below is a list of what several Atlantic City casinos and sportsbooks are offering for the return of the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament for their guests in New Jersey:

Bally’s

FanDuel’s new, permanent location opened March 12 and is located by the northern boardwalk casino entrance. As customers enter, they will be greeted by two large video walls and multiple betting kiosks.

CHECK OUT: Some normalcy in Atlantic City

The inside of the sportsbook features a 25-foot-wide state-of-the-art LED video wall, flanked by two 10-foot-wide LED video walls on either side and 10 video displays. Fans can place sports wagers at five betting windows or use one of 20 self-serve betting kiosks.

Borgata

Borgata will be the only casino in Atlantic City to offer three different venues to watch and wager on the college basketball tournament. In addition to the BetMGM Sportsbook and Bar and the Race and Sportsbook, the casino will be opening up the Event Center (its larger concert venue) for the first four days of the tournament.

Games will be displayed on 10-foot screens within the Event Center and cashier stations will be there, so you can wager on all the games and other events. Bars will be inside the venue as well. The sportsbooks will be open at 9 a.m. daily and the Event Center will open at 10 a.m.

VSIN will be broadcasting live on-site on March 19 from 12-2 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and on Monday from 12-2 p.m.

Reservations are encouraged by calling 609-317-7900.
