A leader at one of the top casinos in Atlantic City has added a new title.

Terry Glebocki, chief executive officer at Ocean Casino Resort since 2019, was named president of the Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) on Wednesday. She is the first female president in the history of the organization, according to a news release.

She will succeed Steve Callender, who retired in March.

“I am privileged and honored to succeed Steve Callender as the next president of the Casino Association of New Jersey,” Glebocki said in the release. “Steve successfully led our organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are grateful for the strength and leadership he has shown in these unprecedented times.

“I am thrilled to lead the CANJ forward as we work to help Atlantic City and the region recover from this devastating pandemic and continue the ongoing revitalization of this world-class destination resort.”

A trade organization, CANJ supports legislation and initiatives that advance the ongoing revitalization of Atlantic City into a destination resort, the release said. Its membership includes the following Atlantic City properties: Bally’s Atlantic City, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Caesars Atlantic City, Golden Nugget Atlantic City, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts Casino Hotel and Tropicana Atlantic City.

Casino Workers Getting COVID Vaccinations

CANJ, AtlantiCare and UNITE HERE Local 54 Atlantic City casino workers began receiving COVID-19 vaccinations March 29 at the Atlantic County COVID-19 vaccination megasite. All three organizations are working together to prioritize vaccinating approximately 25,000 casino employees by Memorial Day.

“The casino industry, in partnership with AtlantiCare and UNITE HERE Local 54, is giving all of our workers an additional opportunity to get vaccinated by Memorial Day,” Glebocki said. “We will also continue to employ our wide-ranging, comprehensive health protocols to ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience.

”We look forward to bringing back even more of our valued guests and employees in the coming weeks and months as we rebuild from this devastating economic and health crisis.”

With more than three decades of financial management experience, Glebocki has also served as chief financial officer of Ocean Casino Resort and Tropicana Entertainment Inc.

Women currently lead three of Atlantic City’s nine properties, the release said.

“I am proud of my fellow female executives who are paving the way for other talented women to join the leadership ranks, further transforming the gaming industry into a more diverse and dynamic workplace,” Glebocki said. “I am looking forward to being at the helm, during this challenging yet exciting time for our industry.”
