PokerStars Launches ’25 Days of Tournaments’ for New Jersey Online Poker Players
By Lou Monaco

As the first December weekend comes to an end for holiday shopping and festivities across the state, New Jersey online poker players have a chance to play in holiday tournaments starting Monday, thanks to PokerStars.

PokerStars is kicking off the holiday festivities on Monday with a poker advent calendar for PokerStars players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The “25 Days of Tournaments” will run until Dec. 30 and each day a surprise tournament that won’t be found on the regular schedule will take place at 7:30 p.m. EST., according to a news release.

Each event has a two-stake level with a $50 buy-in version and a mini $10 buy-in version to allow players of different levels to get involved, the release said.

To find out what surprise is coming the next day, players must keep an eye on the PokerStars’ client at 9 p.m. EST to see what tournament comes next.

In addition, players can win tournament tickets, Spin & Go tickets and tickets to daily $100 freerolls and weekly $1,000 freerolls in daily PokerStars Chest drops for any players in each state who take part in the “25 Days of Tournaments,” according to the release.

Advice Videos from PokerStars

For help and advice for your holiday tournament participation, last week PokerStars introduced “Level Up With Lex.” They are simple poker advice videos from ambassador Lex Veldhuis with tips based on a player’s real money Spin & Go game, helping to improve their skills and to possibly create more winning moments, the release said.

The advice offered is based on data generated by PokerStars’ learning platform, which reads and analyzes hand histories to detect mistakes.

The videos can be created by opting in on “The Rail” in PokerStars software. The videos can be viewed on The Rail or be received by the player through email or push notification if their poker communication preferences are enabled in “settings.”

TopNJCasinos.com also offers tips on how to become a professional poker player. One strong area of advice is understanding your skill level. Online tournaments can help you figure out how you match up against other poker players.

Fall Tournaments Just Ended

Owned by Flutter Entertainment, the PokerStars holiday events will take place in the three states simultaneously. In November, PokerStars held Fall Fest in New Jersey and similar tournaments in Pennsylvania and Michigan. They ran from Nov. 20-29.

In addition to the three states with the holiday tournaments, online poker is legal in Nevada, Delaware and West Virginia. NJ online casinos are also legal.
